When using a pounce wheel, place your pattern over a firm but soft blanket and roll gently with light pressure. Avoid pressing too hard, or the pattern may tear.

Using cardboard under your pattern is possible, but it requires more force and can cause hand fatigue. The cardboard also wears out quickly and can damage your pattern if you’re not careful.
